Inspired by the Twenty8Twelve collection ‘Beyond Mount Macedon’, ‘She Likes Daisies Best Of All’ makes direct reference to the film ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. Set in 1900’s Australia, the film tells the story of the disappearance of several English schoolgirls as they explore the landscape. It makes reference to Victorian repression which is romanticised throughout, representing the film’s whimsical narrative. Nature is a key theme, with the daisy being a predominant feature, and the colour palette is soft and muted.
