With direct reference to the Twenty8Twelve collection ‘Ode to Evelyn’, this collection explores the shabby Parisian world of vaudeville in the 1920s with its courtesans, rouge and frou, and is inspired by the work of Czech photographer Jan Saudek, whose erotic imagery used sepia tones retouched with pop colour. Elements from nature are turned into sexual metaphors, creating the narrative for the collection.
