‘I Paint Flowers’ draws its inspiration from Frida Kahlo’s life and paintings, and also looks at the work of iconic Mexican photographer Lola Alvarez Bravo.

Reminiscent of travels through 1950s Mexico and the Far East, each piece is a representation of a page in the traveller’s journal, or an intricate miniature wunderkammer – curiosity cabinets compiled from treasures and trinkets gathered along a journey though different cultures and times. Keepsakes collected and cherished, each documenting and preserving time and memory, reflecting how we can capture a moment and keep it alive.
